What is the free ATM withdrawal benefit?
Some employers provide one free ATM withdrawal benefit per month as part of your payroll. This allows you to withdraw cash without paying the ATM fee, up to the ATM allowance value shown in your MarTrust Account. This benefit is paid by your employer, not deducted from your balance.
If your employer provides this benefit:
· You will receive an ATM allowance at payroll, valid for 30 days. The allowance value varies between employers but will typically be between USD $750 and USD $2000.
· The ATM allowance will appear in the Benefits tab of your MarTrust Account.
· It will be shown in your card currency (or USD if no card currency is set).
· When making an ATM withdrawal, the ATM allowance will cover the ATM fee up to the ATM allowance value.
· If your withdrawal amount is higher than the ATM allowance, the amount above the ATM allowance will be charged at the standard ATM fee.
· If the ATM allowance has expired or already been used, the standard ATM fee will apply to the full withdrawal amount.
Below (screenshots) are examples for reference only, and your actual “Benefits” may vary:
How many times do I receive the benefit?
· If your employer provides this benefit, you will receive one ATM withdrawal benefit per month.
· If a second payroll or extra payment is received from your employer in the same month, an additional ATM allowance will not be provided.
This is based on your employer’s agreement with MarTrust to cover one ATM allowance per month. If your employer updates this benefit in the future, your MarTrust Account will be updated accordingly.
What happens if my withdrawal is higher than the allowance?
· The ATM allowance will cover the ATM fee for the withdrawal up to the ATM allowance amount.
· If you withdraw more than your ATM allowance, the remaining amount of the withdrawal will be charged at the standard ATM fee.
ATM Fees (when no allowance is available)
If you do not have an ATM allowance available (because it has expired, been fully used, or was not provided by your employer), a standard ATM fee of 1.75% will apply to the withdrawal amount.
Please note that some ATM operators may charge their own local ATM fee in addition. This fee is not controlled by MarTrust and may vary by country and/or ATM provider.
