To get the best possible exchange rate and avoid unnecessary fees, make sure you withdraw or pay in the local currency.

Whenever possible, use bank-operated ATMs to withdraw cash or change your card PIN.

To minimise your risk of ATM fraud, or being charged high fees. avoid independent ATMs, such as those from ATM Bersama, Cashzone, Euronet, Expressnet, Indicash, Travelex, and UAE.

When you spend or withdraw cash with your debit card abroad, some merchants and ATMs will offer to convert the currency for you (dynamic currency conversion).

To avoid paying unnecessary fees, we recommend you always decline dynamic currency conversion and choose to pay in the local currency. MarTrust will convert the currency for you at our low exchange rates, from 1%.

If you were charged higher than our standard fees, this is likely the ATM owner charging you, we advise to consult with the ATM provider and always ensure to not pick any conversion the ATM can do to avoid the higher mark up fee.

Make sure to check your benefits on the app and consult the card limits and fees here.
