The process is simple and guided on screen.

General steps (for all methods):

1. Login to your MarTrust Account

2. When prompted, choose a 2FA method (or go to Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication)

3. Follow the on-screen instructions

4. Complete the steps shown

Set up Passkey

  • Choose Passkey as your 2FA method

  • If Passkey is available on your device, you’ll be prompted to confirm using your device security (Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN)

  • Your passkey is saved securely on your device

  • Setup is complete — no codes required

If Passkey is not available on your device:

We recommend choosing Authenticator App instead. It provides strong security and works on most devices, even without internet.

Set up Authenticator App

  • Download an authenticator app if you don’t already have one (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator)

  • In the MarTrust app, choose Authenticator App as your 2FA method

  • MarTrust app will show you a setup key

    • Copy this key

    • Do not share this key with anyone

  • Open your authenticator app and:

    • Tap Add

    • Choose Enter key manually

    • Paste the key from the MarTrust app

    • Set the account name to MarTrust Crew Account

  • Return to the MarTrust app and continue

    • Enter the 6-digit code generated by the authenticator app

    • Confirm to finish setup

Set up WhatsApp

  • Choose WhatsApp as your 2FA method

  • Confirm your mobile number

  • You’ll receive a one-time code via WhatsApp

  • Enter the code to complete setup

Set up SMS

  • Choose SMS as your 2FA method

  • Confirm your mobile number

  • You’ll receive a one-time code by text message

  • Enter the code to complete setup

Tip:

For the best experience, we recommend setting up more than one 2FA method — for example, using a Passkey as your main method and an Authenticator App as a backup.

When adding an additional 2FA method via Settings, you’ll first be asked to confirm your action using your current (primary) 2FA method.

Once the new method is successfully added, it will become your primary 2FA method. You can continue to keep other methods as backups.
